Editorial Policy
Independent reporting, clear standards, and a curious view of what comes next.
ByteSfera exists to help readers understand technology. This policy describes the standards every story must meet before it is published, whoever or whatever helped prepare it.
Accuracy and sourcing
We prioritise original explanation, transparent sourcing and corrections when facts change. Claims are checked against primary sources whenever possible: official announcements, court and regulatory documents, peer-reviewed research and on-the-record interviews. Each article lists the sources we relied on so readers can check them. When information is uncertain or disputed, we say so.
Use of automation and AI
We use software to monitor licensed news feeds and to spot stories reported by at least two independent sources. AI tools may prepare a first draft from those references. A draft is never published automatically: an editor reviews the facts, the sources, the framing and the language, and remains responsible for the final article. AI is not used to invent quotes, sources or images.
Respect for other publishers
Source feeds help us discover and verify topics; they are not permission to republish protected reporting or imagery. We write our own explanations, link to the original reporting and credit the outlets whose work we build on.
Independence and conflicts of interest
Coverage decisions are editorial. We do not accept payment, gifts or favours in exchange for coverage. Contributors must tell us about any financial or personal relationship with a company or person they write about.
Fairness and sensitive topics
People and companies facing serious allegations are given a reasonable chance to respond. Stories involving security vulnerabilities, health or personal data receive additional review so that we inform readers without causing harm.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it and say so, as described in our corrections policy.
